We feel, and are, partly responsible for ensuring that empty batteries are collected and do not disappear into the waste garbage can. Otherwise it is a pollution of the environment, but also because these empty batteries can be reused and it helps to create a circular economy. By being affiliated with the Batteries Foundation (Stibat), they can ensure that (our) empty batteries are collected back.
